Keyloggers
Keyloggers what are they and how can it affect me.
Firstly a keylogger is not a program you want to have installed on your computer or even really want to experiment with. How would you like somebody looking over your shoulder when you are typing on your computer.
Knowing every activity you are involved with, who you are talking to and worst still your passwords and banking details all for the taking if you have a keylogger installed. Talk about an invasion of privacy.
As you can see from above a keylogger has the capability to destroy your personal life. Maybe your business by stealing your ideas or business from you.
What if your children are unknowingly downloading a keylogger onto your computer right now. If you are online at home or even your business has links to the internet then you need to avoid keyloggers at all cost.
So how do I avoid keyloggers?
By installing a reputable software program that can detect these sleeping and malicious programs such as keyloggers, spyware, adware and malware. This is not an expensive tool and can save your business and your personal life from countless hours of misery from a stolen identity to having your business and business dealings compromised.
The spyware removal software would need to be able to successfully identify and remove keyloggers, spyware adware, malware, browser hijackers and all known infections.
It would need to be updated regularly by the software provider to ensure your computer is kept up to date and protected from these parasites.
I have been asked on occasion what software I use as protection against this threat and after much trial and error I have settled for spyware doctor as my protection from keyloggers and other malicious files. I also use Pctools Anti-Virus and their Registry Mechanic to keep my computer clean and in good order.
And last but not least is a firewall and again after using many different firewalls I have decided to stay with the firewall that is provided by my operating system Windows XP. I have found this firewall just as effective as all the others that I have tried and it is one less cost I need to incur to stay safe online.
So you can see with a few simple yet effective software programs you can stay protected from Keyloggers.
